The story

Amira Designs was born from a passion for blending creativity, innovation, and functionality.
That passion began to take shape during a three day workshop at the USC Institute for Creative Technologies, where a small group of educators from across the country came together to design an app built by teachers, for teachers. Drawing from real classroom experiences, the process involved brainstorming ideas, building prototypes, and presenting solutions rooted in real needs.
That experience sparked a deeper curiosity. It became less about a single project and more about the desire to keep building, improving, and rethinking the systems people interact with every day.
With a background in elementary education, the foundation was already there. Designing engaging lesson plans, worksheets, and classroom experiences required creativity, structure, and empathy. Those same principles now guide a user centered approach to digital design.
Alongside that, a background in music and visual art continues to shape the work. An understanding of rhythm, composition, and balance translates naturally into designing interfaces that feel intuitive, engaging, and purposeful.
Amira Designs reflects an ongoing transition from education into design, where the goal remains the same: to create thoughtful experiences that connect with people and make a lasting impact. When Amira is not coding, she can be found watercolor painting, playing pickup soccer, or exploring the landscapes of the American Southwest—continually drawing inspiration from the world around her.
