What Resources i use to help with my creations

Hand-drawn wireframes are on a table with a person contininuing to work on them with a marker in hand.

There are many resources that you can find for inspiration for creative ideas, news on the latest updates, designs, or tutorials. Here are a few resources I found that have helped me with web development:

One resource that I’d like to share is W3Schools, which is a “free online platform providing tutorials, references, and interactive editors to learn web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.” I appreciate how often my instructors of the CodeTalk Program utilize it in our lectures and show us how we can use it as a tool for further developing our own budding coding skills. I would absolutely recommend this resource to another learner because it’s user-friendly and free of cost.

Another resource is Reuters News, which is an online news station covering local, national, and international stories. I specifically like their tech section and the quality of local and relevant topics they cover. What I find useful about this particular website is how the caption of photos reminds me of the language you would find in screen readers because it descriptively describes what’s going on in the photo in that exact same manner. I like that the section directly below the photo often includes a 3-bullet-point summary of the main ideas of the article. Then there’s an additional tab adjacent to it that allows for further research on the companies mentioned in the article (if applicable). This is useful because it says the companies are law offices, for example; it deepens the reader’s understanding of what it means to be represented by certain law offices aforementioned, shares what major cases and clients the law office represented & participated in, the caliber of clientele they have, etc. I would recommend this resource to another learner because the articles include hyperlinks to the topics mentioned, allowing the user to go on a deep dive into what is briefly shared in the article.
A final resource I’d like to share that is related to creative ideas is the Awwwards.com website, which showcases beautifully designed websites. There’s a particular section on the website that I like titled Nominees on Awwwards, which recognizes “the talent and effort of the best web designers, developers, and agencies in the world.” This is useful because I can use the websites that catch my attention as inspiration for my own creations.  I would recommend this resource to another learner if they are looking for creative ways to enhance their web design.
